Regardless of the form, the purpose of obtaining a statement from a witness is to ascertain an understanding of an incident or event from an unbiased third party. Witness statements can be useful in developing an understanding of the incident or event. The investigator will canvass the area and take photographs of the incident location and or recovery location to complete the process of giving our client the best understanding possible of the "whole picture" of what took place. Determining a factual picture on the onset allows our client the opportunity to settle potential negligent action prior to litigation.
